Abstract

The dynamical behaviour of a continuous plant is not the only thing to consider in the design of a sampled control. Additional delays are introduced by the medium that links the sensor device with the controller. This problem is particularly dangerous when these delays are random and dependent of the system environment. This is the problem that appears when a shared network is used and the delays depend on the traffic in it. The aim of this paper is to provide a simple solution to this problem using different frequencies in the control loop.
